French-Cameroonian duo Les Nubians, known for a singular blend of warm R&B and francophone hip hop, will headline. MASS MoCA and O+ (pronounced O Positive) co-present Les Nubians’ performance at the museum’s Hunter Center on Saturday, May 11. The musician Spero (Burlington, Vt.), whose music is a blend of jazz, folk and world rhythms, will open for Les Nubians.
They are among nearly 20 musical acts and nine visual artists (mural, installation and performance) confirmed to participate in the festival’s unique exchange of the “art of medicine for the medicine of art.” The O+ North Adams festival volunteers who donate their time and talent to the weekend receive free health and wellness care in an Artists’ Clinic staffed by local providers across disciplines.

The Lilypad winter show is back by popular demand!
As one year ends and a new one begins, it's time to reflect, reinvigorate, and remember to BE THE LIGHT.
Opening the night: Spero
Spero is a multi-instrumentalist and songstress with a fondness for loops and anything Funky. Her ethereal grooves, soulful voice and dark lyrics float over an original twist on fingerstyle guitar. Having grown up on a bedrock of early Soul & Motown, she brings you luscious, new blends of her journeys through jazz, folk and world rhythms.
Alisa Amador’s music is a synthesis of the many styles she’s voraciously absorbed: rock, jazz and alternative folk, all wrapped in the spirit of the Latin sounds she grew up with. With her soulful singing, poetically incisive lyrics, and syncopated rhythms, her music is likely to make you cry, laugh and dance all within one set.
The Damn Good band includes incredible musicians Noah Harrington on Bass, Sam Palermo on Drums, and a rotating cast of amazing, inspiring musician friends and family.
Tickets: $15 at the door
Doors at 7pm, music at 7:30 (on the dot, cuz we get kicked out at 10 y'all!)
